Founder of Ungambled. About me and this project.

I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2014 with a degree in computer science, with focuses on software engineering, game theory, and algorithmic artificial intelligence. From there I spent eight years as a software engineer — first at Microsoft, then at Oracle.

After leaving engineering, I founded Ungambled — a system that converts sportsbook sign-up and promotional offers into cash profit. The method hedges both sides of a market across different sportsbooks, so a $200 promotional bonus becomes profit that is fixed before the game starts: no prediction, no gambling. It runs on the same asymmetry-and-hedging thinking that threads through every book on this site.

I love reading these books and learning about how reality actually works. I believe wholeheartedly in this material — not as theory, but as a genuine operating system for navigating risk, building wealth, and thinking more clearly. It is also the operating system behind Ungambled: asymmetry, optionality, fat tails, and skin in the game are not abstractions to me — they are the exact principles that turn a sportsbook promotion into locked profit.

The honest origin of this project: I couldn't get anyone in my life to read these books. Not for lack of trying. The people around me would derive enormous benefits from this material, and I couldn't get them past the first chapter. So I broke them down the next best way — long-form articles that walk through each book concept by concept, so the ideas land without anyone sitting down with 500 pages.
